Dr. Joseph Warren

Dr. Joseph Warren (1741-1775) was a physician and patriot who played a key role in the events leading up to the American Revolution. Born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, and became a successful doctor in Boston. He was also a political leader and a vocal critic of British colonial policies.
Warren was involved in many of the key events leading up to the American Revolution.

He played a leading role in the Boston Tea Party, served on the Massachusetts Committee of Correspondence, and helped to organize the Massachusetts Provincial Congress. He was a strong advocate for American independence and urged his fellow colonists to take up arms against the British.

During the early stages of the Revolution, Warren served as a major general in the colonial army and was instrumental in the defense of Boston. He is perhaps best known for his role in the Battle of Bunker Hill, where he fought alongside colonial soldiers and was ultimately killed in action. His death was a significant blow to the American cause, and he was remembered as a hero and martyr in the years following the Revolution.
